Gold prospectors were the first residents of the forested foothills now known as Beaconsfield Upper, which is about 45 km east of central Melbourne. Now a sleepy, friendly little country town with sweeping views of the Dandenong Ranges. Close to all the attractions of the foothills and beyond.
Our main King size room is fit for royalty. With a new King size bed and mattress. It looks out through a double hung bay window into our beautiful cottage gardens. It has floor to ceiling antique cupboards to store your luggage and clothing. The room is beautifully furnished and you also have a lovely window seat to soak up the sun and read a book. The room has a door out onto the verandah where you can have breakfast or a predinner drink.
The ensuite is a full bath with a 200 year old clawfoot bath that fits 2 and granite flooring. A stunning church window sits above the bath. The ensuite has a rain shower and heating.
Bedroom 2 comprises of a luxury new Queen bed with a stunning white antique rattan Bed Head. The room looks out to a beautiful cottage garden onto a verandah and rocking chair. The window is striking and large to take in the view. The room has floor to ceiling antique cupboards to store your baggage and clothing. This sun filled room has a romantic classic feel. The room has a door out to the main deck area where you can have your breakfast or predinner drinks.
Bedroom 3 has a bunk bed and a queen. This room is more playful and has a days gone by feel. There are lots of lovely extras like a beautiful provincial cupboard to store your things and a very cool large trunk. There are double doors out to a newly build deck over looking the cumquat tree, olive trees and camelias. Our local possum lives close by and don't be surprised if you get a visit. The verandah has lovely wicker chairs for you to enjoy the country air.
